Surgical Technologist II

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Harbor City, California. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our medical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
- Transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the medical center, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, contributing to the development of annual educational plans and recommending changes to improve unit operations.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to prioritize work assignments, ensuring timely completion of patient care activities and reporting any unusual findings.
- Two years of experience in operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery.
- Basic Life Support certification.
