Job SummaryUnder the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the Surgical Technologist Level II will assist in surgical procedures by performing scrub duties, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment with precision.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to prioritize work assignments, ensuring timely completion of patient care activities.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
- Utilize computer systems effectively, maintaining accurate records and communicating with colleagues and patients as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Two years of experience in operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery.
- Basic Life Support certification.
