Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the medical center, utilizing proper body mechanics.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Two years of experience in operating room scrubbing or equivalent military experience, including a variety of surgical procedures.
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist or military equivalent program.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or National Center for Competency Testing Certificate - Technologist in Surgery.
- Basic Life Support certification.
