Job Title: Nurse

Chautauqua Opportunities is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Early Care and Education team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of children and families.

Job Summary:

The Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services, including health screenings, health education, and referrals to healthcare providers. You will work closely with our Early Care and Education team to ensure seamless integration of services and promote positive health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate health screenings and referrals to healthcare providers
  • Provide health education and training to staff, volunteers, and families
  • Develop and track health care plans, including special diets and medications
  • Document children's incidents and maintain accurate health records
  • Collaborate with management, staff, and parents to promote positive health outcomes
  • Facilitate community referrals and access to medical homes for children and families
  • Assist in policy, procedure, and program plan updates
Requirements:
  • LPN degree required; RN degree preferred
  • Knowledge of health and wellness focus beneficial
  • Experience in public health, pre-natal, and field beneficial
  • Knowledge of health, nutrition, and local and state regulations beneficial
  • Ability to work as an effective team member/leader
  • Strong computer skills
  • Maintain positive and cooperative relationships internally and externally
Special Requirements:
  • Ability to maintain Nursing Licensure
  • Completes all OCFS requirements
  • Maintain a current Driver's license
  • Ability to travel within New York State and occasional trips outside NYS
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Lifting requirements: up to 50 lbs
