Position Overview
We are currently seeking a proactive Biological Specimen Collection Specialist to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting samples from individuals required to undergo drug testing as part of their legal or mental health obligations. Our specialists are tasked with gathering urine, oral fluid (saliva), or hair samples in compliance with established protocols.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 4 PM

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, document, order, process, and dispatch biological specimens to the laboratory
  • Ensure the collection site is organized and maintained
  • Complete requisitions, chain of custody documentation, and related paperwork
  • Gather and scan insurance information, as necessary
  • Order and manage supplies (requisition forms, gloves, collection materials, etc.) to ensure availability
  • Communicate client inquiries to the Manager and/or Client Services team
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer or patient-facing roles is required
  • Experience in healthcare, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to conduct observed collections and gather biological samples is essential
  • Must be capable of working independently without on-site supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and de-escalate communications in potentially stressful situations is necessary
  • Basic computer proficiency is required
  • Physical ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs and to sit/stand for extended periods is required
  • Willingness to wear scrubs and protective gear (gloves) is necessary
