Registered Nurse II

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our GI Motility Program. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal motility disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect patient care services, ensuring the safety, comfort, and protection of patients.
- Administer medications and therapeutic agents as necessary to implement the treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
- Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, central line access, and care if applicable, and the initiation of peripheral venous access.
- Observe signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical condition.
- Assess signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.
- Implement appropriate reporting, referrals, and care in accordance with standardized procedures.
- Initiate emergency procedures when indicated.
- Provide care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Identify patient's readiness for learning and ability to understand directions/instructions and give consent.
- Identify and assess patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations.
- Intervene to provide a safe environment and evaluate the effectiveness of intervention for patients.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- BSN preferred.
- Current, unrestricted California RN license required.
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required.
- Experience in a procedural setting preferred.
- Experience with GI patients is beneficial.
