Key Responsibilities:
• Perform tests to analyze patient specimens according to laboratory policy and procedure
• Maintain competency in all identified sections and perform quality control and quality assurance to ensure quality test results
• Interpret and enter data to prepare patient laboratory reports, communicating and documenting critical and significant results in accordance with laboratory policy
• Maintain biomedical equipment and perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance as required
• Identify and resolve problems, communicating effectively with staff and customers to ensure excellent follow-up
• Instruct new staff members, on-the-job trainees, residents, and students, documenting teaching and training to ensure required documentation for accrediting agencies
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Zero to six months of experience in a related field
• Graduate of a Medical Technology Program preferred, with previous work experience and American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification preferred or eligible
