Wells Fargo is in search of a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Mainframe Tools Engineering division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our z/OS systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and support of mainframe software products: Deliver technical assistance for software applications operating on z/OS.
- Engage in intricate software configuration, patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and vendor specifications to resolve complex system software issues.
- Create comprehensive documentation for software requirements and operational guidelines.
- Establish security access protocols for software applications.
- Conduct compliance procedures related to the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of software assets.
- Assist in analyzing business, application, and technical infrastructure needs.
- Implement solutions aimed at minimizing Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and enhancing High Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities.
- Support team members by minimizing inefficiencies, addressing obstacles, escalating issues, and providing mentorship to foster team growth.
- 4+ years of experience in Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 4+ years of experience with z/OS.
- 4+ years of experience with TSO (Time Sharing Options).
- 4+ years of experience with zSeries mainframe operating systems and storage solutions.
- 4+ years of experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
- 4+ years of Assembler programming experience.
- 4+ years of REXX programming experience.
- 4+ years of SMP/E experience.
- 4+ years of experience supporting software products from IBM, Broadcom, BMC, or other mainframe vendors.
- 3+ years of experience with z/OS UNIX System Services.
- This position requires a hybrid work environment.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
