Role Responsibilities
Develop strategies for Application Performance Monitoring and Optimization within the production environment.
Address incidents and enhance the platform based on user feedback, aiming to reduce incident frequency over time.
Ensure accurate and timely batch production scheduling and processes.
Capable of creating and executing queries on big data platforms and relational databases to identify issues or perform bulk updates, preferred.
Handle ad hoc user requests, including data research, file manipulation, and process issue investigations.
Employ a comprehensive approach to problem-solving, connecting various technology components during production events to optimize recovery times.
Engage in and enhance the entire service lifecycle—from initial design to deployment, operation, and refinement.
Analyze IT Service Management activities and provide feedback to development teams regarding operational gaps or resilience issues.
Support services prior to launch through system design consultation, capacity planning, and review processes.
Facilitate the application CI/CD pipeline for software promotion into higher environments, advocating for DevOps automation and best practices.
Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
Sustainably scale systems through automation and advocate for changes that enhance reliability and efficiency.
Collaborate with a global team across various technological hubs and time zones.
Share knowledge and clarify processes and procedures with team members.
Qualifications
Proficient in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Nifi, and Impala.Experienced in data analysis, observability, ingestion, and integration.
Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, infrastructure, DataOps, DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering roles.
At least 5 years of experience managing Big Data production systems.
Over 1 year of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Chef.
Knowledgeable in architecting and implementing data governance processes and tools.
Strong understanding of SQL fundamentals.
Familiar with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
Systematic problem-solving skills combined with effective communication and a strong sense of ownership.
Ability to debug and optimize code while automating routine tasks.
Capable of supporting diverse stakeholders and managing urgent situations effectively.
Eager to embrace change and explore the potential of automation.
Experience in collaborating across development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and build relationships.
Skilled in designing and implementing efficient CI/CD flows that ensure high-quality code delivery with minimal manual intervention.
Good understanding of Change Management and Release Management in software development.
