Dental Assistant II

Job Summary:
High Point University Health is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Assistant II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our elite providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
- Continuously assess and manage patient flow to ensure efficient and effective care
- Respond to patient and operational concerns in a timely and effective manner
- Cross-train with Patient Relations staff to provide comprehensive support
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations
Requirements:
- Training as a Dental Assistant II, preferably through a year-long Dental Assisting program
- NC State Board of Dental Examiners X-ray certification
- Coronal polishing and Dental Sealant certification
- CPR or BLS certification
- Preferred clinical experience in a high-functioning dental office
- Training on an electronic medical record
- EPIC training is a major plus, but not necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and punctuality
- A positive attitude and professionalism
- Receptive to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching

- Ongoing performance reviews and annual assessments
