Nurse Practitioner, 5West NEW Medsurg

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• 1 year of RN Acute Hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
• American Heart Association BLS - within two (2) weeks of employment.
Work Environment:
This is a NEW 15-bed unit that serves as a MedSurg overflow. The Nurse to Patient Ratio is 5 to 1. This unit has a unit secretary and PCTs. We have day and night shift available. This unit is located on the 5th floor, with low hospital traffic.
