As a key member of our Resident Experience department, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging activities and events that promote a sense of community and well-being among our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that aligns with our Christian Care Vision Statement
  • Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute in-house events and classes
  • Facilitate resident excursions and outings in the community and off-campus
  • Collaborate with the Assisted Living Activities Coordinator to schedule themes and activities for each month
  • Coordinate with the Transportation Department to maintain resident reservations and activity sign-up records
  • Attend mandatory Supervisor training and classes
  • Complete departmental Purchase orders and maintain deadlines for monthly newsletter and calendar
  • Maintain employee timecards and ADP payroll duties
  • Conduct follow-ups with residents and their families to confirm sign-ups and reservations for activities
  • Distribute activity schedules to residents and create a positive atmosphere in the community
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma is the minimum requirement
  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age and of good moral character
  • Experience with activity scheduling, organization, and program development required
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience with seniors in an Independent Living facility is required
  • Experience with a senior activity program and wellness program preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Having the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action and remaining calm during emergency situations is essential
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Word, among others, is required
  • Learn and become proficient in Canva within 3 months of hire
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully and empathetically with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public
  • Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
