Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that aligns with our Christian Care Vision Statement
- Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute in-house events and classes
- Facilitate resident excursions and outings in the community and off-campus
- Collaborate with the Assisted Living Activities Coordinator to schedule themes and activities for each month
- Coordinate with the Transportation Department to maintain resident reservations and activity sign-up records
- Attend mandatory Supervisor training and classes
- Complete departmental Purchase orders and maintain deadlines for monthly newsletter and calendar
- Maintain employee timecards and ADP payroll duties
- Conduct follow-ups with residents and their families to confirm sign-ups and reservations for activities
- Distribute activity schedules to residents and create a positive atmosphere in the community
- A high school diploma is the minimum requirement
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age and of good moral character
- Experience with activity scheduling, organization, and program development required
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience with seniors in an Independent Living facility is required
- Experience with a senior activity program and wellness program preferred, but not required
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Having the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action and remaining calm during emergency situations is essential
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Word, among others, is required
- Learn and become proficient in Canva within 3 months of hire
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully and empathetically with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public
- Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel
