About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our team at NOV Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Machines: Under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce quality parts.
  • Setup and Run Jobs: You will perform your own setups and run pre-programmed and established jobs to meet demand, ensuring that all parts meet quality and production requirements.
  • Quality Control: You will be responsible for loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, advanced edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Planning and Coordination: You will plan machining by work orders, manuals, blue prints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
  • Quality Checks: You will perform necessary quality checks of parts, including the effective use of calipers, micrometers, and functional gauges.
  • Interpretation and Measurement: You will study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of production.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate with management, engineers, production, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance: You will perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Compliance and Safety: You will adhere to and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
