Job Title: Rail Track Inspector

M&J Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Rail Track Inspector to join our team. As a Rail Track Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of rail tracks, including inspection, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect rail tracks to identify potential safety hazards and defects
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on rail tracks, including replacing damaged or worn-out components
  • Collaborate with contractors and clients to ensure project schedules and deadlines are met
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure work meets quality standards
  • Document material deliveries, handling, and storage, and review material certificates to ensure conformance with contract documents and quality standards
Qualifications:
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices utilized for the maintenance and construction of railroad track infrastructure
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in railroad maintenance of way construction or inspection work performed for a railroad or rail transit agency
  • Knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of railroad construction methods
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Track Safety Standards and Regulations applicable to railroad track construction and maintenance
