About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a key member of our IT Modernization Project, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing cloud-based solutions to support our business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and design cloud-based systems
  • Analyze and research system requirements to determine the right combination of systems and components
  • Develop and implement architecture plans that align with software, hardware, user interactions, integrations, and interfaces
  • Provide expert guidance to team members on cloud architecture and system design
  • Research and utilize new technologies to maximize business value
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Seven years of experience in information systems, with a focus on cloud computing and architecture
  • Strong understanding of cloud system design, architecture, and management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with cloud-based systems and technologies, such as Azure
