Data Engineer

About the Role
Nike is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cloud-based data platforms. As a Data Engineer, you will work with a variety of dedicated Nike teammates to build first-class solutions for Data and Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines using cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Databricks, and EMR.
- Develop and maintain data lake solutions using tools such as Hive and Spark.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data management projects.
- Implement automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools.
- Participate in design, code, and test plan reviews to increase knowledge and application of best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant fields of study.
- 3+ years of experience developing Data & Analytic solutions.
- 1+ years of experience building data lake solutions using cloud-based technologies.
- Experience with relational SQL and scripting languages such as Shell and Python.
- Deep knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to quickly pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks.
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
