Position Overview:

The role involves assisting the Construction Project Manager in supporting the Wholesale and Retail divisions to execute new developments and maintain existing locations for an expanding portfolio of BYREDO boutique and department stores across North America.

Support the establishment of new boutiques and counters in collaboration with the Construction Project Manager within a luxury context by ensuring timely project completion, engaging with external partners, and providing updates to the relevant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside the global design team to grasp the vision and branding goals for new constructions in both retail and wholesale settings.

  • Examine, annotate, and authorize all construction documents to confirm that designs are precise and adhere to brand standards, particularly between architectural and design blueprints.
  • Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers in coordination with local architects and design studios.
  • Conduct design briefings with the Retail Project Manager to clarify essential details and expectations of the design project for vendors.
  • Ensure that all project elements align with global BYREDO guidelines and objectives.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with general contractors, fixture contractors, local architects, and design studios.
  • Collaborate closely with luxury department store design and construction teams to ensure smooth communication regarding deliverables.
  • Identify and propose solutions to address issues that could negatively affect project timelines, costs, or design integrity across multiple projects.
  • Travel domestically to wholesale and boutique locations to ensure that projects and construction align with BYREDO standards.
  • Manage and oversee invoices and requisitions from vendors and design studios.
  • Oversee communication and documentation of projects with local architects and design studios.
  • Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams such as Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Retail & Wholesale divisions to ensure a unified message across all channels.
  • Oversee and manage all repair and maintenance requirements across the portfolio of boutiques by maintaining a pipeline of reliable local general contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree.
  • Degree in architecture, interior design, or related fields is advantageous.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Ability to interpret, read, and assess architectural and design blueprints/renderings.
  • Familiarity with SAP and AUTOCAD is a plus.
  • Exceptional project and timeline management capabilities.
  • Proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically, up to 40% for on-site evaluations.
  • Strong analytical and management skills to meet all project deadlines in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Compensation:

As mandated by New York State's salary transparency law, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000.00 to $95,000. Various factors are considered when extending offers, including relevant skill set, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and organizational structure.
