Job Summary

At HDR, we are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Planning Professional to join our team as a Senior Transportation Planner/Project Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading projects, project tasks, and delegating assignments to team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pursue work as a project manager on a variety of transportation planning, aviation planning, and/or environmental/NEPA compliance projects.
  • Lead projects, project tasks, and delegate assignments to team members.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline transportation planning, aviation planning, and/or environmental compliance projects.
  • Prepare and lead participation in public information meetings and hearings.
  • Ensure regular coordination across disciplines (e.g., engineering, transportation planning, resources, strategic communications, etc.).
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Demonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning, and programming experience.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Mentor junior staff and facilitate on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, project management software.
  • Ability to interact with various design teams, excellent organizational, project management, and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
