Permanent Project Engineer

Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, Jobot, is seeking a dynamic and driven Permanent Project Engineer to join their team in the construction industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a Construction Management Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of our construction projects to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will meet the project objectives.
  • Ensure project compliance with all industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage contracts and maintain strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the delivery of construction materials and ensure their proper storage and distribution on site.
  • Resolve any site issues swiftly to prevent project delays.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
  • Provide technical advice to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software.
  • Familiarity with construction and project management software (such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera).
  • Exceptional contract management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • A professional engineering (PE) license will be considered an advantage.
