Job Summary

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Distributed Energy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting market research and analysis, developing client relationships, and contributing to thought leadership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify key trends and industry developments in the utility and DER industry
  • Engage with clients and key account leads to understand their needs and develop research solutions
  • Collect, synthesize, and translate information from various sources into cohesive commentary on market size potential and impacts of energy transition solutions and decarbonization technology trends
  • Develop roadmaps for future utility-focused research and author high-impact finished reports
  • Oversee the development of quantitative analyses and market forecasts
  • Be the main analyst point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts and shape, price, and deliver custom advisory engagements
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Guidehouse platform to expand client opportunities and develop a growth strategy consistent with practice-level and firm-wide goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of one to ten years of relevant industry work experience, including relationships with relevant industry players
  • Relevant work experience must include one to three years of consulting work, excluding internships, co-ops, fellowships, or academic coursework
  • Strong self-management, analytical, critical, and creative thinking skills, as well as exceptional MS Office, writing, presentation, and interviewing skills
  • Proven track record of client management and account growth, with a solid understanding of project management and budget oversight
