Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and seasoned Trade Finance Manager to enhance our Finance division. This pivotal role involves reporting directly to the VP of Finance and encompasses the development of our trade finance capabilities alongside treasury management. Your expertise will ensure that all financing responsibilities are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at optimizing cash flow, managing payment risks, and ensuring compliance with the guidance of our financial partners.
  • Draft and refine internal policies and workflows related to trade finance.
  • Facilitate proactive communication across departments to guarantee the seamless execution of trade finance operations and treasury management.
  • Oversee and mentor the trade finance and treasury teams to ensure accurate and efficient execution of all financing tasks.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of international trade dynamics, engaging with counterparties and navigating global commodity and currency markets.
  • Ensure adherence to all pertinent laws, regulations, and policies governing trade finance while fostering relationships with financial partners to secure optimal financing solutions.
  • Coordinate with external banks, intra-group banks, and both local and international counterparts to ensure timely financial transactions.
  • Manage cash requirements through various financing options, including factoring.
  • Review contractual agreements to ensure alignment with trade finance instrument specifications.
  • Monitor trade finance and treasury management modules within the ERP system.
  • Conduct testing of trade finance and treasury risk control systems and facilitate internal audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of experience in trade finance, particularly within the energy commodity trading or banking sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of global commodity and currency market trends.
  • CDCS Certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficient understanding of UCP 600, ISP 98, and URR 525 regulations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams across various time zones.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
