Research and Development Technician

MTF Biologics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Technician to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for processing research tissue, conducting experiments, and testing biomechanical and biochemical properties of allograft tissue.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare tissue forms and prototype devices for preclinical and safety testing following established procedures.
- Assist in the daily operation of the R&D laboratories, including ordering and maintaining supplies, maintaining laboratory cleanliness, and scheduling use of laboratory space and equipment.
- Clean and prepare equipment and supplies for sterile processing; prepare chemicals for processing.
- Perform mechanical, physical, or chemical assay testing as directed by supervisor.
- Participate in process design, development, and process equipment development as part of new product development and product or process improvement.
- Perform record keeping for all experiments and research activities, in compliance with GLP guidelines.
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of experience working within a laboratory or manufacturing operation in medical device or life science industry
- Experience working in a laboratory environment or controlled manufacturing environment required
- Ability to work independently following instructions and protocols provided by supervisor
- Good communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Associate's degree in engineering or science
- 5 years of experience working within a laboratory or manufacturing operation in medical device or life science industry
- Experience with mechanical testing, mechanical testing equipment, and use of laboratory equipment such as centrifuge, lyophilizer, analytical balances, micropipettes, etc.
