About the Role

C&W Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III to lead our team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. As a key member of our Operations Maintenance team, you will design solutions for difficult problems, manage projects, and train and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building, including automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, and other industrial controls.
  • Create and close out work orders with accurate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all Operations facilities.
  • Develop training plans for service technicians and contract technicians.
  • Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
  • 5+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics.
  • 5+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.
  • 5+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
  • 3+ years of work order management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 4+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous vendor management experience.
  • Experience with robotic maintenance.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, which may include but is not limited to hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
  • Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment.
  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work, averaging 6 to 12 miles per day.
  • Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day.
