Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

At Kwest Group, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including loaders, graders, crawler excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and scrapers.
  • Perform laborer tasks as required and directed by field leadership.
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance and assist with minor mechanical repairs if needed.
  • Operate on cut and fill excavations with compaction requirements.
  • Operate equipment proficiently to properly install underground utilities at various depths.
  • Operate equipment proficiently to properly grade for slopes, contours, and finish grade for future paving operations.
  • Operate equipment on erosion control projects.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate is preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to work out of town, sometimes out of state, and for lengths of time, such as the job would dictate.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations.
