Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic to join our team at Vermeer All Roads in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our team, you will travel daily to customer sites to diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer machinery and components, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally, and on time.

Job Description:

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25-$40, depending on experience, with production bonuses available to reward exceptional performance. You will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health coverage, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer Equipment as directed by the branch service manager.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, requiring hydraulic and hydrostatic experience.
  • Recognize and suggest appropriate repairs to the service manager.
  • Be an experienced welder and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technical advancements.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all repairs performed and create estimates for repair costs.
  • Communicate with the factory for technical assistance and perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Hydraulic and hydrostatic experience is essential.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience is also required.
  • Welding experience is necessary.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently is necessary.
Estimated Salary:

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $30, with production bonuses available to reward exceptional performance.
