Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, and phlebotomy.
- Provide basic patient care services, such as height and weight measurements, intake and output tracking, and equipment retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including clutter-free rooms and removal of linen and trash.
- Support patient communication needs, including answering call lights and orienting new patients to their rooms.
- Promote patient safety and comfort, including assisting with mobility and providing water, ice, and other amenities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of recent experience in a healthcare setting.
- CNA certification or equivalent.
