Substation Protection and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control systems for electric utilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV
- Use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SDS AutoCAD Electrical
