Substation Protection and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control systems for electric utilities at various voltage levels.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop substation protection and control projects, including one-line and three-line drawings, AC and DC schematic designs, and wiring designs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project requirements and ensure timely completion.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials and quality control checks.
- Participate in project lifecycle support, from scoping to final design and implementation.
- Apply industry standards and best practices to ensure safe and reliable power delivery systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to interact with internal teams and clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, such as SDS AutoCAD Electrical, and data management systems, like Bentley ProjectWise.
