About the Role

The Lead HVAC Service Technician is responsible for supporting, equipping, and developing the HVAC team to set up our team for success, maximize the customer experience, and achieve our financial goals. This role involves diagnosing issues, providing solutions, and maintaining excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, build, and develop the necessary steps and procedures to deliver exceptional service in our industry.
  • Analyze, inspect, and solve for inefficiencies and poor customer service, aiming for 5-star service and 5-star Google Reviews.
  • Teach the HVAC team how to successfully perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of all assigned service jobs, tracking go-backs by service type and technician.
  • Develop ongoing training that develops technician skill sets regarding install, maintenance, and repair of ductwork, wiring, and other HVAC-related components.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience leading and training a team of HVAC technicians.
  • Solid understanding of job costing and financials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
