About the Role

The Lead HVAC Service Technician is a critical member of our team, responsible for supporting, equipping, and developing our HVAC team to achieve our financial goals and maximize customer satisfaction. This role involves diagnosing issues, providing solutions, and maintaining excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and develop procedures to deliver exceptional service in the HVAC industry.
  • Analyze and solve inefficiencies and poor customer service to achieve 5-star ratings and Google Reviews.
  • Teach the HVAC team on how to perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot HVAC system problems, and provide appropriate solutions to prevent zero-dollar calls and go-backs.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of all assigned service jobs, tracking go-backs by service type and technician.
  • Develop ongoing training to enhance technician skills in install, maintenance, and repair of ductwork, wiring, and other HVAC-related components.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards in all service work.
  • 80% of your time will be spent in the field evaluating and coaching the HVAC team.
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Ensure service vehicles are fully stocked with necessary tools, parts, and equipment for scheduled jobs.
  • Report recurring or complex issues to the GM and offer suggestions for improvement in processes or technical approaches.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience leading and training a team of HVAC technicians.
  • Solid understanding of job costing and financials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient understanding of Service Titan.
