The Class A Driver will be responsible for assisting the Branch Operations Manager and reporting to the Logistics Coordinator. This role requires a valid CDL license and a safe driving record.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily truck inspections and document findings.
- Obey all motor vehicle laws, especially for commercial driving.
- Ensure loads are properly secured on the vehicle when leaving the yard and returning from job-sites.
- Understand and maintain DOT required logs.
- Take responsibility for the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all vehicles and equipment.
- High school graduate.
- Valid Class A CDL and state motor vehicle licenses at all times.
- Minimum 5 years experience with a safe driving record in commercial driving with a Class A CDL license.
- Able to read maps and possess a keen sense of direction.
- Excellent communication skills, including an excellent command of English (speaking, reading, writing). Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Working conditions will significantly vary, including extreme outdoor temperatures and inclement weather conditions. This position is physically demanding on a routine basis.
