Job Title: Operational Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Controller to join our team at Arkansas Mailing Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounting Department, providing financial information to senior management, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial management reports.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and support on evaluations of potential alliances, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Recommend and lead efforts to improve Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Assets (ROA) performance.
  • Optimize bank relationships and initiate strategies for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the accounting and information technology functions.
  • Align financial policies and procedures with company objectives.
  • Establish financial reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with company expenditure requirements.
  • Recommend and develop policies, procedures, and systems to meet company objectives.
  • Assure corporate income tax compliance and complete all corporate income tax returns.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.
  • Assist the COO on special projects and compile reports to increase company efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in progressing Accounting and Financial roles with 5+ years of managerial experience in an organization of at least 50 employees or 6+ years in a large accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience in a public accounting firm or a manufacturing setting is a plus.
