Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to ensure effective management of services and products, maximizing sales and productivity.
  • Achieve budgeted performance in Profit and Loss statements.
  • Oversee daily work assignments for team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to meet corporate goals related to shrink, margin, profit, sales, and labor.
  • Analyze sales goals, supply costs, and stock loss, taking necessary actions.
  • Supervise and train staff, ensuring comprehensive training in all job aspects.
  • Encourage career development and succession planning for Team Leaders.
  • Review customer feedback and surveys to enhance service quality.
  • Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative during team interactions.
  • Mentor team members to exceed customer service and sales expectations.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform other daily tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in various store areas is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear direction to team members.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Skilled in analyzing financial and statistical data for informed decision-making.
  • Experience in teaching suggestive selling techniques.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members across various roles.
  • Successful completion of all required certifications.
  • Trained to manage store operations in the absence of the Store Director.
