Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our janitorial staff, ensuring that all employees are safe and that customer quality expectations are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
  • Designate shift and area work assignments.
  • Manage employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately, documenting and reporting to management or HR.
  • Review employee timekeeping to ensure compliance with timekeeping rules and complete payroll documents to ensure all employee time is paid correctly.
  • Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed, completing and submitting inspection reports.
  • Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
  • Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
  • Enforce all safety policies and procedures, immediately reporting and investigating accidents.
  • Complete training courses as required.
  • Cleaning restrooms, break-rooms, common areas, dusting, and trash removal.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Advanced floor care work as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
  • High integrity required.
