EVENT BEVERAGE SPECIALIST:

Deliver exceptional service to guests throughout their dining experience by adhering to established service standards, crafting expertly mixed cocktails, and demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of wines and culinary offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Welcome guests warmly
  • Prepare hors d'oeuvre and buffet stations, serving food and beverages as requested
  • Arrange tables according to specifications
  • Set up the banquet bar in accordance with event orders within designated timeframes
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for event setup and service
  • Provide beverage service by mixing cocktails, serving wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Consistently prepare and serve drinks to meet established standards
  • Efficiently manage a section of the dining area, including serving multiple courses, refilling water, clearing tables, and providing wine and coffee service
  • Accurately and promptly deliver food and beverage orders
  • Transport trays of food from the kitchen to the serving area
  • Take drink orders, input them into the POS system, and ensure timely delivery
  • Possess a solid understanding of wine service and related knowledge
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service
  • Utilize basic math skills for accurate tab calculations and change-making
  • Be knowledgeable about the company’s history and the surrounding area to assist guests
  • Support team members as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock service areas
  • Perform other assigned duties as required
Requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Efficiently set up a mobile bar
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask while maintaining organization and attention to detail
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills; prior experience in a high-end environment is preferred
  • Possess knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and mixers, including their composition, history, and flavor profiles
  • Understand food preparation techniques
  • Manage multiple conversations while preparing drinks and operating a POS system
  • Exhibit strong cash handling abilities
  • Be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and lifting items weighing 30 pounds or more
  • Engage in frequent physical activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, and reaching
  • Maintain visual and auditory acuity, along with agility and dexterity
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, maturity, and leadership qualities
