Program Overview

The Residential Treatment programs at Youth Villages cater to children facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Our residential facilities provide a structured yet liberating environment for intensive treatment, allowing children and their families to recognize, comprehend, and address their unique needs while developing essential skills for success in less restrictive settings. We operate three types of facilities: Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes, located across various states, all employing the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed). Most of these youths attend fully accredited educational institutions situated on our residential campuses.

Key Duties:

  • Design and implement individual and group activities that promote growth in language, social, and other essential skills.
  • Engage in training and professional development activities.
  • Administer and interpret assessments to identify academic needs.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies.
  • Create lesson plans tailored to meet the unique educational requirements of students.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with school policies.
  • Maintain accurate progress notes, attendance records, and grading in a timely manner.
  • Perform other essential duties as required.
  • Potential opportunities to teach specialized subjects.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $56,000 to $67,000, contingent upon educational qualifications and years of teaching experience.

Additional Information:

We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention for each student, typically ranging from 8 to 15 children. We offer tuition and licensure reimbursement, along with training opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in education with the appropriate certification (K-12) is mandatory.
Licensure in TN with an endorsement in English must be obtained within 90 days of employment commencement.
Preferred experience includes special education or teaching in a clinical setting.
Experience working with at-risk youth is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Basic computer proficiency is required.
Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
