Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individual and group activities to promote language, social, and academic skills.
- Engage in professional development and training sessions.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' academic needs.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to enhance learning.
- Create lesson plans tailored to meet the unique educational requirements of each student.
- Prepare compliance reports in accordance with educational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
- Fulfill additional essential duties as required.
- Potential opportunities to teach specialized subjects.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Compensation:
The annual salary ranges from $56,000 to $67,000, contingent upon educational qualifications and prior teaching experience.
Additional Information:
We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention for each student, typically ranging from 8 to 15 children. Our organization also offers tuition reimbursement, licensure support, and ongoing training for professional advancement.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in education with appropriate K-12 certification.
- Licensure in Tennessee with an endorsement in English must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Preferred experience in special education or clinical teaching environments.
- Experience working with at-risk youth is highly valued.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
Benefits:
