Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individual and group activities to promote language, social, and academic skills.
  • Engage in professional development and training sessions.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' academic needs.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to enhance learning.
  • Create lesson plans tailored to meet the unique educational requirements of each student.
  • Prepare compliance reports in accordance with educational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
  • Fulfill additional essential duties as required.
  • Potential opportunities to teach specialized subjects.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation:

The annual salary ranges from $56,000 to $67,000, contingent upon educational qualifications and prior teaching experience.

Additional Information:

We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention for each student, typically ranging from 8 to 15 children. Our organization also offers tuition reimbursement, licensure support, and ongoing training for professional advancement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in education with appropriate K-12 certification.
  • Licensure in Tennessee with an endorsement in English must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Preferred experience in special education or clinical teaching environments.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth is highly valued.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
