Position Summary:

In this role, you will provide essential support to a Care Team comprising physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in delivering patient care. Your responsibilities will include gathering pertinent medical information from patients and managing administrative tasks related to practice and patient requirements.

This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, with working hours spanning from 7am to 10pm EST based on operational needs.

Work Environment:

This position allows for remote work. Candidates must reside in specific states, which may change over time.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $20. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits and accrue vacation time monthly, up to 10 days per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate live video virtual check-ins and check-outs for patients.
  • Provide live phone and messaging assistance to patients.
  • Support your Care Team, including virtual physicians, APPs, and RNs.
  • Assess each patient's medical needs from initial contact through care coordination to resolution.
  • Assist with the ordering process, including sending requisition forms and coordinating referrals.
  • Ensure communication with providers after referrals, including collecting patient notes.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments with patients.
  • Contact providers and facilities to clarify information and assist with complex cases.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to meet patient needs (Laboratories, Imaging Facilities, Pharmacies, Vendors).
  • Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care, urgent care, or multi-specialty clinic.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a virtual practice setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
