The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in the success of Team Rehabilitation. This position is responsible for ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives and improve their well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing a high-quality treatment experience, welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for physical therapy.
- Display excellent customer service skills and provide encouragement when appropriate.
- Follow the plan of care established for the patient by the therapist.
- Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and accommodate patient needs to support their success in therapy.
- Educate patients about equipment, ensuring safe and correct use.
- Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as needed.
- Ensure 360-degree communication with patients, physicians, staff members, and other stakeholders, including follow-ups as necessary.
- Maintain a pleasant and professional relationship with patients and colleagues.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and sanitize equipment after each use.
- Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and observe and record patient progress or changes.
- No required education or experience necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree.
- Must be committed to Team's initiative of making diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority, bringing a sense of belonging and empowerment within a diverse workforce.
