Quality Assurance Supervisor

BWXT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor to join our team in Mt. Vernon, IN.
Job Responsibilities:- Supports Production Manufacturing Processes: Supervises and oversees a team of inspectors to ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and customer standards.
- Observes Shop Floor Activities: Ensures accurate time entry records for assigned employees and effectively communicates employee performance expectations.
- Coordinates Training and Qualification Activities: Initiates and coordinates personnel training/qualification activities and maintains appropriate documentation.
- Assists in Inspection Plan Development: Participates in the development and implementation of inspection plans.
- Participates in CAPA Resolution: Works closely with Engineering and other departments to provide technical support for problem solving and assists in defining corrective actions.
- Provides Quality Data Analysis: Analyzes quality data to identify trends and implement product improvement actions.
- Maintains Quality Assurance Records: Ensures required quality assurance records are complete and accurate.
- Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent along with two years of front line management experience and a minimum of five years of work experience in a quality driven manufacturing/fabrication/production environment.
- Qualifications and Skills: Prior/current qualification as an inspector is preferred, with demonstrated work experience executing inspection plans. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish effective working relationships with others is required.
- Additional Requirements: Prior experience managing an inspection team in a machining, welding, or other heavy manufacturing environment is preferred. U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship is required.
