Job Title: Prep Cook

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Omniscius Consulting. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of high-quality dishes to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and slice ingredients as required for menu items, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Stock Management: Assist in receiving deliveries, checking orders, and properly storing ingredients to maintain a well-organized and efficient kitchen.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our staff and guests.
  • Organization: Keep prep areas organized and stocked, ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available to support our culinary team.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, following proper procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure optimal performance.
  • Assistance: Provide support to cooks and chefs as needed during service, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures, to maintain a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
  • Waste Management: Dispose of garbage and recycle materials appropriately, contributing to our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations, with a passion for learning and growth.
  • Skills: Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supporting and contributing to a positive and productive team dynamic.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our guests and support our culinary team.
