At Parachute, we're revolutionizing the plasma donation experience with a simple app that makes it easier and friendlier for our members to book donations and track their earnings. As a Practical Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors, while also helping to positively impact the industry supply chain and improve access to life-saving treatments for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate donors on the plasmapheresis process and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the donation process
  • Evaluate donors' medical histories and perform physical examinations to ensure their suitability for donation
  • Counsel donors on deferrals due to test results or other health concerns
  • Attend to major reactions and evaluate donor injuries, maintaining a safe and clean environment for all donors
  • Collaborate with our Quality Manager and Center Manager to ensure staff are practicing universal precautions and wearing personal protective equipment
Requirements:
  • Current certification/licensure as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months of experience in a GMP environment with plasma or whole blood experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
