Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluates HVAC system functionality through thorough observation, testing, and configuration as dictated by the specific trade and equipment type, including split systems up to 120 tons, mini-split systems, VRV heat pumps, and various commercial units.
  • Oversees work processes on extensive projects, executing disassembly and reassembly of both large and small HVAC equipment for troubleshooting and routine maintenance as per service agreements. Proficiently utilizes hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Completes service agreements, project quotes, and urgent service requests as assigned. Cultivates long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication regarding work performed and project status.
  • Acts as a primary resource for service technicians, providing technical support and coordinating subcontractor activities while mentoring and guiding junior technicians.
  • Facilitates multi-technician service engagements.
  • Participates in on-call service rotations as established by company policies.
  • Procures materials and issues purchase orders to vendors.
  • Operates a company vehicle and trailer safely, adhering to all driving policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintains tools, equipment, and inventory on the service vehicle.


Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in inspecting, testing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of necessary registrations, professional licenses, and/or certifications as mandated by the role.
  • HVAC Unitary Skills: Proficient with split systems (all brands up to 120 tons), mini-split systems (up to 3 tons), VRV heat pumps, rooftop units (up to 150+ tons), and water source heat pumps.
  • HVAC Airside Skills: Knowledgeable in Fan Powered Boxes, VAV Boxes, and VFD Theory, along with a solid understanding of Air Handler operations and control valve mechanisms.
  • Pumps and Piping Systems Skills: Ability to identify components and configurations of pumps and chillers, including flow control and piping systems.
  • Familiarity with brand-specific control systems.
  • Advanced understanding of service methodologies, techniques, and industry regulations.
  • Exhibits professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Consistently demonstrates high ethical standards in business practices.
  • A two-year technical degree in a related field is preferred.
