Position Overview:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a key administrative role that reports directly to the Head of School. This position is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, and management of all aspects of information technology within the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to provide strategic direction and foster teamwork in implementing technology solutions that align with the institution's mission.

Oversee all IT resources, including budget management, network infrastructure, academic and administrative systems, as well as communication services.
Develop and manage the operating and capital budgets for technology.
Ensure a high-quality technology support environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Partner with academic leaders to create and execute strategies for effectively integrating technology into educational programs.
Establish and uphold IT standards, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Extensive leadership experience in Information Technology (IT) with a proven track record in managing IT resources and services, ideally within an educational context.

Ability to communicate a clear vision for technology in education and to formulate strategic and operational IT plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Proven capability to build a cohesive IT team and foster effective partnerships with end users through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated commitment to delivering quality services in a dynamic, high-expectation environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with computer hardware, software, networking, and related technologies, including VMware virtualization, Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, and networking technologies (SANs, VLANs, Wireless, Firewalls).

Experience with educational administrative systems such as Blackbaud, Power School, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Cisco, and Meraki hardware, as well as VOIP systems.

Understanding of E-Rate Funding is advantageous.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of independently managing both short-term and long-term projects.


Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred in IT, education, or a related field.
Significant IT management experience is highly desirable.
