Position Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of our facility's equipment and machinery, performing tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery; execute scheduled maintenance tasks as outlined in established programs, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify underlying issues, and carry out necessary repairs on production machinery.
  • Support operational efficiency by ensuring the safe and effective functioning of all plant equipment.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to generate, complete, and close work orders.
  • Participate in preventive maintenance initiatives and suggest areas for enhancement.
  • Program Variable Frequency Drives and Servo motor drives as needed.
  • Troubleshoot PLC systems and robotic equipment.
  • Employ precision instruments such as meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes accurately.
  • Interpret and execute Maintenance Work Orders effectively.
  • Provide mentorship and training to both new and existing maintenance personnel.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following established safety guidelines.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational instructions, including the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
  • Stay aware of the impact of individual contributions on quality, safety, environmental, and compliance policies; report any quality concerns or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Certification or relevant experience in the mechanical field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards is essential.
  • Working knowledge of variable frequency drives is required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and integrity.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively within a diverse team.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to perform maintenance tasks at heights ranging from 1 to 50 feet.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
  • Must possess manual dexterity to handle machinery and work near moving parts.
