Primarily operates in the field conducting preventive maintenance audits, equipment inspections, mentoring staff, monitoring performance, and participating in client meetings. On rare occasions, may engage in the hands-on work of a Field Service Technician.
- Key Responsibilities: (Approximate % of Time Spent)
- Efficiently manages the distribution of equipment, materials, and personnel to job sites, ensuring maximum utilization and minimal costs across various service delivery processes, such as routine maintenance or emergency repairs. (~20%)
- Ensures timely initiation, management, and processing of Service Requests (SRs), managing labor to meet company maintenance standards. (~30%)
- Collects and communicates job-specific information to Field Service Technicians, other Service Managers, and/or Senior Managers. Collaborates with fellow Service Managers/Coordinators to reduce equipment downtime and optimize personnel utilization. (~10%)
- Assesses safety, quality, scheduling, and budget performance against established benchmarks. Engages in weekly management reviews of operational metrics and corrective actions, evaluates performance against benchmarks, and formulates, communicates, and executes improvement action plans. (~10%)
- Acts as the primary point of contact for customers in the service area, providing technical and operational expertise in response to inquiries. Conducts pre- and post-job follow-ups with clients. (~10%)
- Participates in the procurement of parts, core returns, tools, and capital expenditure requests as per the delegation of authority. (~10%)
- Oversees the annual budget and implements operational standards and processes. (~10%)

Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and general PC skills.
Knowledge Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of Field Service operations.
- Familiarity with service operations administration, procedures, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and resource requirements.
- Awareness of the financial implications of operational decisions.
- Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures and regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer production facilities and equipment.
- Working knowledge of engine and compressor equipment utilized in the field.
- Complete understanding of all processes and systems related to compressor operations, regardless of type, make, or model used in the region.
Minimum Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Minimum Experience:
- Typically requires 8-10 years of related experience or equivalent, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful and safe service delivery.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Manages all resources (personnel, equipment, materials, budget, and reputation) for the assigned area. Coordinates schedules and sets priorities to ensure task completion.
- Identifies training needs and ensures team members receive appropriate training and utilize training programs effectively. Addresses technical training gaps.
- Ensures employees are positioned for success through various programs, including feedback and recognition.
- Coaches and mentors leads to enhance supervisory, team-building, and problem-solving skills as needed.
- Responsible for performance management and employee development, including hiring, termination, and job and salary changes per delegation of authority and required approvals.
- Implements, manages, and communicates work standards and performance metrics for the assigned team.
