Job Description

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Cloud Infrastructure team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define service(s) strategy and roadmap by partnering with product management.
  • Represent your organization at the VP level.
  • Use your experience and expertise to operate large-scale software fleets to ensure services meet OCI scale.
  • Collaborate with your team, peers, various organizations, and senior leadership to identify product and customer requirements, coordinate delivery, and integrate solutions to meet business needs.
  • Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive engineering team who can deliver complex projects on time.
  • Your ability to influence other teams is a key to your success in this role.
Requirements
  • 6+ years experience in managing large-scale organizations, preferably with multiple layers of management.
  • 10+ years of designing, delivering, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
  • Demonstrable success mentoring and growing engineers and people managers to senior levels.
  • Prior experience in owning and managing SaaS/IaaS services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, distributed systems, and high-performance computing fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
