In the capacity of Senior HR Operations Manager for our Clean Air sector, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the human resources strategies that align with our organizational goals. This role demands a seasoned HR expert with a deep understanding of HR practices, labor regulations, and a successful history of supporting manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the quality of service provided to both internal and external stakeholders, focusing on:
    • Ensuring prompt resolution of employee inquiries and concerns.
    • Formulating recruitment strategies for both hourly and salaried positions across North America.
    • Evaluating training needs, designing, implementing, and assessing training initiatives that align with business objectives.
    • Serving as a strategic partner between Operations and the HR department.
    • Facilitating the succession planning process within the manufacturing division.
    • Overseeing performance management practices within the division.
    • Improving communication strategies within the division.
    • Promoting employee recognition initiatives.
    • Administering HR policies specific to the division.
    • Ensuring compliance with corporate EEO/AAP policies.
    • Acting as a liaison with consulting, training, and recruitment partners.
    • Managing hiring, training, coaching, and other activities that support manufacturing functions.
    • Championing company culture and management practices throughout the division.
    • Advancing the automation of HR processes across the region.
    • Generating division and corporate reports as necessary, identifying key metrics and processes for tracking.
    • Enhancing the new-hire orientation program across various locations.
    • Facilitating employee feedback mechanisms, including engagement surveys and listening sessions, ensuring robust and effective processes.
    • Serving as the primary contact for contracted services.
    • Performing all other related duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR-related legislation, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, Age Discrimination Act, and state laws.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Human Resource Management.
  • Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service abilities, with a knack for building trust at various organizational levels.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adept at conceptualizing processes and understanding the broader organizational context.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for meetings, training, or site assessments.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules to meet project deadlines and respond to occasional after-hours inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business, HR, or a related discipline.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification.
  • Experience in maintaining a non-union environment is advantageous.
  • Background in organizational behavior.
