- Perform triage and obtain vital signs to assess patient health and identify potential issues.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collect and maintain patient and business documents while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform various clinical, aseptic, and laboratory procedures as needed, including phlebotomy, urinalysis, and oral swabs.
- Start IVs, place catheters, and perform splinting when directed by healthcare providers.
- Document medical interventions accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Understand and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Responsible for quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with CLIA waived laboratory and patient result trackers.
- Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance at all times.
- Perform office procedures and administrative duties as needed, including operating medical equipment.
- Travel to various locations as needed to support staffing and volume.
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant or EMT program from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a valid MA, CMA, RMA, or EMT certification or two years of relevant healthcare experience.
- Ability to train new graduates and willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.
- Proficiency in injections and knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology.
