We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Fleet Maintenance team at Ryder System. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance facilities, overseeing the work of technicians, and driving business results.
Key Responsibilities- Manage workflow, including work analysis, planning, and scheduling, to ensure efficient use of resources and meet business objectives.
- Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Develop and implement quality management processes to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions to meet their expectations.
- Manage inventory, including parts and supplies, to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance operations environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair, as well as experience with shop management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
